Generally between 2 to 5 business days, depending on customs clearance and client documentation.

No. There are restricted and prohibited items such as flammable liquids, hazardous batteries, weapons, and prescription-free medicines, among others. Some products require special permits for entry into the country.
What documents are required for my cargo to be accepted?
A commercial invoice and transport documents. For regulated products, the corresponding permits must be submitted before shipping.

You will receive regular updates on reception, departure, transit, and arrival in Costa Rica.

How often do you have ocean departures from Miami?
We offer consolidated departures to Costa Rica every week.
Can I ship full containers from locations other than Miami?
Yes. We handle FCL shipments from any U.S. city and from major ports in Asia.
How can I track the status of my cargo?
Through the MAGAYA system, where you can check entry, weight, volume, and notes in real time.
What documents are required for an ocean shipment?
A commercial invoice, transport documents (Bill of Lading), and, in the case of restricted goods, the necessary import permits.

What documents are required to withdraw my cargo from the bonded warehouse?
A commercial invoice, transport documents, and, if applicable, the permits required by customs or relevant government agencies.
How long can my cargo remain in the warehouse without storage fees?
Up to 30 calendar days at no cost. After that period, the client must pay the corresponding storage fees directly to the bonded warehouse
Who is responsible for obtaining special import permits?
In certain cases, JPLCR manages permits with PROCOMER and the Ministry of Health, provided the merchandise value does not exceed $500. For higher amounts, clients must process the permits directly.
What happens if a permit is denied?
The client will be notified and informed of the next steps. If approval is not obtained, the cargo may be considered abandoned as stipulated by customs regulations.

You must include your name, the assigned code (SJO ######), and the complete address provided by JPLCR.

The shipment cannot be cleared for nationalization. In some cases, the client may have to cover the costs of return or destruction, as required by current regulations.
